Welcome to Ampersand Circus—we're a small, friendly circus community offering adult classes and workshops, and space for self-led aerial and ground-based training.
Our experienced, welcoming instructors are dedicated to helping students of all levels discover the thrill and artistry of circus performance. Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced aerialist, we have the perfect class for you to soar to new heights.
Our classes
Unleash your aerial potential with a diverse range of circus skills. From mastering climbing the silks to conquering the aerial hoop, our fun, supportive classes cater to all shapes and abilities. Immerse yourself in the world of circus arts and unlock your creativity while building strength and flexibility. Join us and run away with the circus!
In our Cardiff circus space we offer adult classes in aerial hoop, static/dance trapeze, aerial hammock, static cloud, aerial loops, rope and silks. Look out for one-off specialised workshops too. We also offer private lessons, and space for self-led aerial and ground-based training.

We release aerial open training slots for existing, signed-off students where there is availability. You must have prior agreement to book. Private lessons are also available during these sessions—please contact us direct to book.​

Private group workshops for birthdays, hen parties, etc. available during and outside our usual class days/times—contact us for details.​

Coming up
From December we're running a small-group mixed aerial class (level 2–3, Tuesdays 7.40–9.10pm).

We're hosting silks and trapeze workshops run by Healey for Cardiff University Aerial Fitness society.

September
Our Ampersand Social event included a visit from Hedfan o Ffansi's musical sheep; amazing performances by students Rachel, Rebecca, Joe and Meg, compèred by Mike on stilts; poi (Liz), juggling (Joe) and tablecloth whip-off (Chris) workshops; giant games; clothes swap (managed by Lily); raffle and student photo quiz. We raised £135 for Boomerang with the raffle—well done Meg for winning the prize hamper, including a free class and some Ampersand Circus merchandise!

Performer Paula (@pretzelarts) visited us from Spain to run two exciting workshops—trapeze dynamics and Chinese lollipop.

Sam and Bongo (@yogaofdragons) visited us to run two acrobalance workshops.

Second- and third-year dance students from Wales Academy of Voice & Dramatic Arts (WAVDA) visited us for bespoke introduction to aerial workshops to complement their dance training.

We're excited to welcome you to our bright, mirrored circus space in Cardiff's Templar Parc (close to the magic roundabout, just off Ocean Way).
​
We're based in the PIF Hub (unit 2) at the amazing charity, Boomerang, and we are thrilled to be involved with their community focus and vision.

Merchandise
