New Beginnings
A very warm welcome to the Ampersand Circus community spring showcase—featuring aerial and ground-based performances set to original music by our fabulous live band, Something Something Avocado.
Join us in putting aside your worries and starting something new.
🎪 Saturday 28 March 2026
🎪 Doors: 4.30pm, show start: 5pm
(Boomerang tuck shop open until 7pm for snacks and hot/cold drinks.)
All tickets are sold out. Please note that there is limited, unreserved chair seating available, with the remainder being floor based. The show is not aimed at children, but they are welcome—any small children must stay seated during the show for their safety and that of our performers. As the music is live, ear defenders are recommended for children/those with sensitive ears.
Big thank yous to all the performers for their hard work and dedication in putting this show together, to Boomerang for hosting us (letting us make more noise and take up more space than usual, and lending lighting and sound equipment); to Something Something Avocado for joining us on our latest adventure; and to our on-the-day volunteers (Lily, Beth, Becky and Tim) for their able assistance, welcoming everyone and making sure they’re looked after. And finally, thank you to everyone who bought a ticket (and everyone who wanted to buy a ticket) for supporting Ampersand Circus!
Please share and tag us in your photos, videos and reviews.

Meet the creative team

Megan Lloyd
Hello, it’s Megan, your compère here. I will be weaving words to offer a thread guiding you through the fabulous “New Beginnings” show. The performers will astound you with their skills, accompanied by the fantastic band, Something, Something, Avocado. It’s all been brought together into the mixing bowl by none other than Ampersand Circus. Who would have thought that a little squiggly sign could bring you so much? You may ask what my credentials are for this compère job? Well, I’ve burbled away as a storyteller at festivals, theatres, libraries and schools, from Tashkent to Tenby. (I will also be wearing some fabulous socks for you to enjoy.)

Rebecca is a costume freelancer for TV and film, who after several years of wistfully scrolling past aerial posts on Instagram finally signed up for her first beginners mixed class in January 2020. Having caught the bug for live performance through dance and technical theatre in high school, she is grateful to Ampersand Circus for the opportunity to revisit her passion for stagecraft and storytelling through movement as Creative Advisor.
